I'm Ashley
I started The Portland Pet Nanny because I genuinely believe our pets deserve better than one-size-fits-all care. Especially as they get older, the thought of leaving them in a kennel - surrounded by unfamiliar animals, exposed to illnesses, stressed by all the chaos ...it just doesn't sit right. Your senior cat who needs medication twice a day, your older dog who moves a little slower and needs patience - they deserve someone who will give them their full attention and meet them exactly where they are.
I'm a homebody by nature, which means I'm perfectly content spending quiet evenings keeping your pets company. I put my whole heart into everything I do, and I'm the kind of person who will send you a photo update of your cat napping in a sunbeam just because I know it'll make you smile.
I'm currently pursuing my Pet First Aid certification and certification through Pet Sitters International, and I'm fully insured and bonded - because your peace of mind matters just as much as your pet's comfort.
What I Can Do for You
Every service begins with a complimentary meet-and-greet so we can get to know each other, I can meet your pet(s), and we can make sure it's a good fit for everyone.
Drop-in Visits
Regular Care and Playtime
Perfect for pets who are comfortable on their own but need check-ins during the day. I'll stop by for an hour or more to feed, play, refresh water, scoop litter boxes, let dogs out, and give your pets some quality attention.

I stay in your home so your pets can stick to their regular routine without the stress of a kennel or unfamiliar environment. This is especially wonderful for senior pets, anxious animals, or anyone who just does better in their own space.
